SDIC Partners with Transatlantic Council

The SDIC International Committee announces a new partnership between the Transatlantic Council BSA and San Diego Imperial Council BSA on International events and opportunities. Marilee Bisoni, International Committee Chair and a veteran TAC Scouter residing in Milan, and Vincent Cozzone, the Scout Executive and CEO of Transatlantic Council BSA invite SDIC units, contingents or individual families who would like "to participate in our camps and activities or hike our international historical trails." They promise to support visitors from SDIC to the best of their ability.

Bechtel Summit Hosts 2019 World Scout Jamboree

3/13/2011 Summit chosen as site of 2019 World Scout Jamboree. The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve has been chosen as the site of the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019. The event will be hosted jointly by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts Canada, and the Scout Association of Mexico, and will be the first World Scout jamboree held in the United States since the 12th world gathering was held at Farragut State Park, Idaho, in 1967. The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will be held this year in Rinkaby, Sweden, while the 23rd annual event will take place at Kirarahama, Yamaguchi, Japan, in 2015.
